Clearly, there is a need for working definitions of both entrepreneurs and entrepreunership which distinguish between entrepreneurial activity in different settings and allow measurement and comparison of performance results. Entrepreneurs can be categorised into those who are profit-seeking, either working individually or in a corporate setting, and those who are not profit seeking, working in charitable, government and other not-for-profit organizations (e.g. universities).
