Abstract:

[22] .... What is business culture? Individuals attribute significance to ideas, symbols, activities and forms of behaviour. A culture emerges when these attitudes are shared by individuals, when they provide them with an identity and purpose that they value, that affects their behaviour, and they find validated by continued success. Cultures can exist across a society or in elements within it - families, religious groups, regions, or any other social institution. In particular, they may exist in economic organisations such as industries or businesses.
